Who we are: Skillshort Edulife Pvt. Ltd. (“Skillshort”). Contact: +91 98313 38563.
What we collect: name, WhatsApp number, optional email, city, qualification, current status, experience, preferred role, counselling interest, your consent choices, your interview answers (typed, or the text transcript you submit in voice mode), scores, and assessment activity logs (start/end time, tab-switch, window-focus, reload, connection and paste-attempt events). A one-way hash of your IP address and your browser type are stored with your consent record.
Why: to run the free mock interview, keep it fair, create your report, and — only if you opt in — contact you about counselling and courses by phone or WhatsApp.
Where: a secure database hosted on Cloudflare, mirrored to Skillshort's internal Google Sheets used by our team. We do not sell your data. No external AI service receives your answers; scoring is done by our own rule-based engine.
Voice mode (optional): if you choose voice mode, your browser asks for microphone permission and converts your speech to text. In Google Chrome (and some other browsers), the audio is sent to Google's speech recognition service to produce the transcript; Skillshort does not record or store audio — only the final text you submit. Questions are read aloud by your own browser. If you prefer not to use this, choose Typing mode; it works on every device.
Your choices: marketing calls and WhatsApp messages are optional and separate; you can take the interview without them. To withdraw consent, reply STOP on WhatsApp or tell our counsellor.
Retention: we keep your data for up to 24 months unless you ask us to delete it earlier.
Assessment limits: scores are automated practice feedback. They do not prove or disprove job suitability.
Delete my data
Use the same browser you registered on. Enter your registered WhatsApp number to permanently delete your registration, interview attempts, answers and reports from our database. Copies in our Google Sheets are overwritten as “[deleted]”.
Registered on another device? Contact Skillshort and we will verify and delete it for you.
